ELLE Macpherson may have been the epitome of glamour at the exclusive Vanity Fair post-Oscars party, but it was Australian pearls that captured the eye of some Hollywood heavyweights at Academy Award festivities this week.

Names including Jessica Simpson and best actress Oscar nominee Catalina Sandino Moreno fell for Australia's Autore pearls label.
Simpson showed herself to be a big fan, sporting a massive four-row pearl and ruby choker, matching bracelet and ring when she fronted up at the Vanity Fair party.
Moreno went for an Autore diamond and pearl drop earrings necklace, while Morgan Freeman's wife Myrna also sported Autore diamond and pearl earrings and brooch.
Getting the jewels on celebrities could be viewed as an award-winning act in itself considering the serious lobbying it required.

CATE Blanchett spent the day after her Oscar win relaxing with her husband Andrew Upton and preparing to fly home to England "to see my boys", she said.
Blanchett said she had been buoyed by all the support from Australia since her win, and was already thinking about her next role.
"I'm all about longevity, it's about your next project and what you are going to do next. You can't rest on your laurels."
