A HALF-brother and former adviser to Saddam Hussein has been captured in Iraq, sources in the interim government said today.

Sabawi Ibrahim al-Hasan al-Tikriti was number 36 on the US military's list of the 55 most wanted people in Iraq. No other details were provided. An official announcement would be made soon, the sources said.
"Sabawi is captured, he's a big catch," one official in the government said.
Several months ago the interim government said Ibrahim was one of at least two former Baath Party officials directing the anti-American insurgency from Syria.
Ibrahim's brothers, Watban and Barzan, are already in custody at a US military-run facility on the outskirts of Baghdad and are due to be tried in coming months.

Most of the people on the 55-most-wanted list, issued during the war to overthrow Saddam's regime, have been captured or have given themselves up.
Only about 10 people, including Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, number six on the list and one of Saddam's top aides, remain at large.
