PRINCE Charles has flown into Sydney for a brief visit during which he is due to have lunch with state and civic leaders, tour a new housing development and visit a hospital before leaving for Canberra.

He was met at a private area of Sydney Airport by New South Wales Governor Marie Bashir.
The Prince will spend roughly five-and-a-half hours in Sydney before departing for Canberra.
He was due to attend a reception at NSW Government House, where he will have lunch with guests, before strolling through the Botanic Gardens to the Opera House forecourt.
He will then board a boat and cruise through Sydney Harbour and up the Parramatta River to meet building, design and property representatives at a residential development.
He then plans to visit children in the Sydney Cancer Centre at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital before leaving the city.
