Melanie's face of the future

FORMULA One would not be the sport it is today without glamour, and this year's Face of Foster's, Melanie-Jade Netherclift, certainly provides it.

The 25-year-old brunette, who calls Melbourne home just as Formula One will this weekend, is just another reason all eyes are on the Victorian capital this weekend.
Netherclift was announced as "the face" in November last year, but has only been really busy with the role since the turn of the year.
As an ambassador for the Australian Grand Prix, she will be a link between race fans and Formula One drivers, including Australia's own Mark Webber.
Organisers say the Face of Foster's must embody the spirit of the brand - Australian, fun, glamorous, youthful and international - and that Netherclift, a self-proclaimed fan of motor sport, is perfectly suited to this role.
But her star was already rising before being linked with the event. She starred in the hit video clip for Kasey Chambers' Am I Not Pretty Enough and has also appeared in Melbourne drama The Secret Life Of Us.
After a recent trip to Hollywood, she was unlucky to miss out on a role alongside male heartthrob Brad Pitt in the blockbuster that was Troy, Rose Byrne eventually flying the flag for Australia.
The beauty has already graced the covers of magazines both in Australia and around the world and has appeared in numerous television commercials, including a global campaign for Pantene hair care.
No doubt, her face will be everywhere not just this week, but for years to come.
